The straight 2016 Cannubi was a wine of pure charm, but I would have a hard time using that descriptor here, at least today. Readers should plan on being very patient. Time in the glass brings out a super-classic profile of macerated cherry, cedar, dried flowers, tobacco, iron and orange peel, but formidable tannins are going to need time to resolve.
