92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from the cooler Santa Lucia Highlands located south of Monterey Bay and aged 16 months in French oak, the 2018 Pinot Noir reveals a translucent ruby color to go with perfumed notes of framboise, ripe strawberries, spring flowers, violets, and hints of loamy earth. It's beautiful on the palate as well, with its oak nicely integrated, a medium-bodied, light texture, and just terrific overall balance. It's already a joy to drink, and I see no need to delay gratification. (1/27/21)"

92 points James Suckling: "A fruity red with crisp, vivid blueberry and orange-peel character. It’s full-bodied, but very lively with fine tannins and a zesty finish. Drink or hold. (1/27/21)"

91 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2018 Pinot Noir Richard G. Peterson is laced with the essence of crushed red berry fruit, cedar, dried flowers, mint and blood orange. Airy and gracious in feel, the 2018 is an attractive wine to drink now and over the next handful of years. Drink: 2021-2028. (Jan 2021)"
