92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Pale colour with the lightest of lime tints. The bouquet is making me smile. Lemon scents on the palate and little white fruits and little white stones, with the citrus returning at the finish. Sensational persistence, just a joy all the way through. What is not to love? (Jun 2021)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Ravishing with its heady perfume of exotic flowers, croissant and spice this gets wine off to an exciting start. The lightly creamy mid-palate shows good weight while the sassy acidity keeps the wine focused and refreshing. This is mostly from the Vaillons lieu-dit with a sprinkling from next-door Sécher. 2022-30. (2022)"

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Floral character, a little menthol in Vaillons, a precise wine, quite fleshy but dynamic, with healthy, profiled flesh, and excellent length and lemony flavors on the finish. (2023)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons wafts from the glass with aromas of pear, green apple, white flowers, freshly baked bread and wet stones. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and elegant, it's suave and seamless, with lively acids, chalky grip and a long, saline finish. Drink: 2025-2050. (7/21/22)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Vaillons from the Raveneau family is equally young and built for the long haul, but it is very precise and shows a bit less reserve today than is the case with the Forêt. The bouquet is bright and nascently complex, delivering scents of apple, pear, beeswax, wet stone minerality, citrus peel and a lovely floral topnote of white flowers and citrus blossoms. On the palate the wine is pure, focused and full, with a lovely core of perfectly ripe, crunchy fruit, fine soil signature, zesty acids and a long, complex and marvelously balanced finish. First class juice. 2025-2060. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .40 ha holding, 95% of which is situated in Vaillons proper with the remainder in Séchet). A discreet application of wood sets off ever-so-mildly exotic aromas of passion fruit, lemon-lime, white peach and quinine. The equally delicious medium-bodied flavors are more refined if not as concentrated while exhibiting strikingly good length on the saline and palate staining finish. This is also very promising. Drink: 2028+. (Oct 2022)"
