The palate is very well balanced with slithers of white peach and orange zest, segueing into slightly more exotic passion fruit and fresh pineapple notes toward the finish. 93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Montmains from Domaine Raveneau is again, a bit tightly-knit out of the blocks and shares more structural similarities today with the Forêt, rather than the Vaillons. Though the nose is still quite primary, it is already showing shadings of the candied lemon tones that are the calling card of so many botltings of Raveneau Chablis with bottle age, as it wafts from the glass in a mix of green apple, lemon, paraffin, chalky minerality, straw and a topnote of orange peel. On the palate the wine is bright, deep, full-bodied and fairly closed today, with a lovely core, a fine girdle of acidity, lovely focus and grip and a long, complex and soil-driven finish.
