Further elevated by a hint of confectionary spice, it tapers off remarkably fresh and vivid, with a blueberry tinge and dusty tannins that promise a lovely evolution. This is a gorgeous interpretation of Cà dal Merlo. It's a blend of 80% Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella, with 20% Cabernet and Merlot, with half of the grapes dried for two months and the other half pressed fresh after harvest. Drink: 2025-2032. It is made in the Ripasso style and aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for seven years before release. It speaks of the place from which it was born. At 8 years of age, it's just now hitting its stride."
