93 points James Suckling: "Raspberries, currants, mulberries, orange zest and lemon leaves on the nose. Medium-bodied with lightly chewy tannins and bright acidity. Wild and savory with a delicious, crunchy finish. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink or hold. (6/9/22)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Mongrana from Querciabella is composed from its customary blend of fifty percent Sangiovese and twenty-five percent each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, with the wine raised in a combination of stainless steel tanks and cement vats. The bouquet on the 2020 is excellent, offering up a constellation of red and black cherries, cigar wrapper, fresh oregano, a lovely base of soil and a topnote of bonfire. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and beautifully transparent in personality, with a good core, ripe tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. This is really a lovely wine, and as is always the case with this bottling, an excellent value. Give it at least a handful of years in the cellar to let its tannins soften up a bit. 2027-2055. (Sep/Oct 2022)"

92 points Luca Maroni

91 points Falstaff Guide: "Bright and intense ruby red. On the nose aromas of sour cherry and blackberry, with a finish that tends towards tobacco and leather. The palate is full-bodied and intense, with nice freshness and softness, rich bouquet and nice spicy finish. (10/17/22)"

90 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "A certified organic wine, the Querciabella 2020 Maremma Toscana Mongrana is 50% Sangiovese with the rest of the blend consisting of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These are good amounts of each variety, as the wine shows the breezy freshness of Sangiovese next to the richness and voluptuous flavors of the other two grapes. Refined in cement and stainless steel, this is an elegant, medium-bodied wine with lots of bright fruit and cherry. Drink: 2022-2028. (Aug 2022)"
