Enters lively, juicy, and sweet but with a tactile mouthfeel and savory flavors of red cherry, herbs and sassafras. Nicely persistent on the youthfully chewy finish that highlights noteworthy but polished oaky nuances. A real note of merit is this wine’s balance; it clocks in at 14.3% alcohol, but you’d never guess this had so many octanes. A beauty that will go on sale in October; I suggest cellaring it for at least another year before popping the cork. Aged in one 30hL oak barrel. Drink: 2019-2028. (Apr 2020)"
