96 points Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate): "From 80-year-old vines facing south-southwest, the 2019 Condrieu Chery takes all the laudable aspects of the stellar 2018 and turns the volume up to 11. Flowers, crushed stone, dried spices and ripe apricots all show up on the nose and full-bodied, fleshy palate. Rich and textural without ever seeming overdone or heavy, it's a magnificent effort that should drink well for another 5 years or so. Drink: 2021-2026. (Jan 2022)"

95-96 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Vivid, green-tinged yellow. Expansive orchard, citrus fruit, melon and floral aromas are sharpened by notes of smoky minerals and lemon zest. Concentrated pear, Meyer lemon and violet pastille flavors show a suave blend of richness and delicacy thanks to a core of juicy acidity and an emerging mineral nuance. Closes juicy, taut and extremely long, leaving a sexy floral note behind. (May 2020)"

95 points Matt Walls (Decanter): "A touch of VA helps lift the aromas. The acidity is quite marked for a 2019. Intense peach and apricot, apricot nectar. Very long finish. Great precision, well balanced and fresh, keen, with a saline finish. Drinking Window: 2021-2031. (May 2021)"

95 points Wine & Spirits: "André Perret has been working on Condrieu since the 1980s, back when many growers had given up working the steep slopes for less physically challenging jobs. this wine comes from his 50-year-old viognier vines at Chéry, a south-facing patch of granite and mica-schist. Vinified one-third in stainless-steel tanks, the rest in oak, the wine is perfectly balanced between honeysuckle florals, golden peach-and-apricot flavor and firm, savory minerality. Powerful yet restrained, it lasts for days after opening, remaining fresh and clean - a sure sign it will age well in the bottle. (Spring 2022)"

94 points La Revue du Vin de France: "The domain excels in the expression of the terroirs of Condrieu, with a great accuracy of definition and above all an always digestible side that we must greet. Chéry is admirable in its intensity and balance, with a great persistence in the mouth concluded by a salivating finish. (2022)"
