The flavors are different, offering hints of crushed stone, underripe pineapple, white peach and dried spices, then this medium to full-bodied wine adds vaguely chalky textural elements on the long finish. Almost with a little Alsatian Riesling-like minerality and just a hint of petrol, it has bright acidity, and a saltiness on the finish (as well as serious length). A beautiful white, it will actually benefit from a year in bottle, and I suspect it will be very long-lived. I wouldn’t put 15 years of prime drinking past it. Drink: 2020-2035. (10/6/20)"
