91-93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The ’06 Gravains is the most closed wine in the cellar to this point, but it too shares the fine focus, depth and potential elegance that is the hallmark of the Pavelot wines in this vintage. The bouquet is a complex mélange of red and black currants, bitter chocolate, venison, woodsmoke, stony soil and a bit of spicy oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, tight and reticent today and very soil-driven, with ripe tannins, shapely acids and a long, primary and focused finish. This will be a very lovely bottle, but really will deserve a decade of cellaring to allow it to blossom fully. 2016-2045. (Nov/Dec 2007)"

90-93 points Fine Wine Review: "The Savigny-Gravains is very mineral with nervy red and black raspberry fruit and quite a bit of liveliness. (Issue #121; 2008)"

92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .60 ha parcel where two-thirds of the vines are more than 70+ years of age). This is reminiscent of the Peuillets aromatically with its elegant and pure mineral-suffused nose of red berry fruit but here the earth influence is more prominent as it introduces rich, detailed and even more minerally middle weight flavors that possess the best underlying material to this point and excellent finishing balance. A terrific wine that is fine enough to be enjoyed now but has the stuffing to reward 6 to 8 years of cellar time as well. Drink: 2013+. (Apr 2008)"
