94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "From a small parcel in the Clos du Roy in Chenôve, fermented and aged on the lees in large, old casks for 24 months and sulphured only at bottling. The result in 2019 is rich and lush, with a ripe pear fruit aroma, touched with honey and mint. On the palate it is opulent, but not lacking in either freshness or minerality. Tremendous Aligoté. Drinking Window: 2021-2026. (Oct 2020)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Bourgogne Aligoté Clos du Roy is tightly wound on the nose, scents of citrus peel, dandelion and light grassy notes unfurl with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with succulent ripe pineapple and passion fruit, leading to a much spicier lemon thyme and ginger tinged finish that leaves the mouth tingling. Superb. Drink: 2023-2033. (Dec 2020)"

'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A more expressive nose more freely offers up its combination of citrusy floral, spiced pear and apple scents. The sleek and almost painfully intense flavors brim with salinity on the bone-dry and sneaky long finish. Once again, this offers unusually fine quality for the genre. Drink: 2024+. (Jun 2021)"
