96 points Wine & Spirits: "[$55 list] In the world of wine, rosé has it easy: If it’s pink and pretty, it’s already on its way to being well accepted. Rarely does a rosé jump out of the glass and demand attention. But this one seems to have packaged up a Mediterranean breeze along with the scents of strawberries and garrigue, unleashing it with every sip. My nine-year-old, doing her own independent appraising, said, “It smells warm—not like the wine is warm, but like it comes from a warm place.” That place is inland from the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, 345 acres of stony soils and limestone terraces, a remote location Marcel Ott purchased in 1912. Today, cousins Christian and Jean-François Ott tend the vines, working with the backing of parent company Louis Roederer, which funded the building of a new winery at the estate in 2017, designed by Carl Fredrik Svenstedt. All those elements came together in a rosé that channels the place it’s grown in an elegant and understated way, yet with a persistence that speaks to its structure and strength. Impressive now, this will be even better with a year or two in bottle. (Oct 2020)"

93 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "[$55 list] Brilliant peach skin color. A highly perfumed, mineral-accented bouquet evokes fresh red berries, pit fruits and kumquat. A sexy floral note emerges with air. Silky and penetrating on the palate, offering intense redcurrant, strawberry, nectarine and blood orange flavors that slowly deepen through the mid-palate. Delivers solid punch but comes off lithe, showing excellent clarity and floral notes on the impressively long, seamless finish. Drink: 2020-2025. (Jun 2020)"

93 points Jeb Dunnuck: "What could be considered the flagship rosé from this estate, the 2019 Cotes De Provence Chateau De Selle Rose comes from a 160-acre property located at 400 meters in elevation, and the blend is 56% Grenache, 25% Cinsault, and the rest Syrah and Mourvèdre, all of which is fermented in stainless steel and aged in large foudre. It's a more rounded, textured rosé compared to the more reductive Clos Mireille and has wonderful strawberry and peach fruit as well as a touch of spice and rose petals. Rich, medium-bodied, and layered on the palate, this is another thrilling, classy rosé that does everything right. Drink it over the coming 6-12 months. Drink: 2020-2021. (8/29/20)"

93 points Elizabeth Gabay, MW (Decanter): "With an extra year of age, 2019 (admittedly a more full-bodied vintage and the first year with a touch of Mourvèdre) shows perfectly that too many rosés are drunk far too young! The raw nuts have become sweeter white almonds, the peach has developed the more perfumed nuances of apricots, pears and quince, while the exotic fruit is more floral, honeyed and ginger. The same minerality is there, a pleasing phenolic finish balancing the juiciness, a crisp sour citrus acidity countering the richer honeyed notes. A more open and complex wine. Drinking Window: 2021-2026. (Jun 2021)"

92 points Wine Enthusiast: "[$55 list] Bringing out freshness as well as the richness of the Ott style, this wine is generous, full of red fruits while also having an attractive, lip-smacking mineral acidity. Drink now. Alcohol 13.5%. (Jul 2020)"

91 points Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate): "[$55 list] The beauty of the Ott rosés is that they don't wallop you with confected aromas, remaining cool and elegant. The 2019 Cotes de Provence Rose Chateau de Selle—a blend of 56% Grenache, 25% Cinsault, 11% Syrah and 8% Mourvèdre—offers up scents of wet stones, grapefruit, lime and hints of wild strawberries. It's medium-bodied, with a fine line of acidity, a delicately silky texture and a lingering, refreshing finish. Drink: 2020-2021. (May 2020)"
