98+ points Erin Brooks (Wine Advocate): "The 2021 Pinot Noir Occidental Station Vineyard features slowly unfurling scents of pomegranate and blood orange with nuances of mossy bark, mushrooms, black tea leaves and tremendously spicy undertones. The palate is much more open at this youthful stage, surprising with its bursts of concentrated, perfumed fruit. It has a seamless structure of velvety tannins and fireworks of fresh acidity, although what's most alluring about this wine is its Goldilocks ripeness; it's not too crunchy nor too ripe, but it achieves the often elusive, deep red fruit of a long, cool season. It's loaded with earth, savory, botanical undertones and has a long, flavorful finish. After the bottle was opened, it continued to unfurl over several days and will be long lived in bottle. Drink: 2025-2040. (12/14/23)"

98 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "Medium to deep ruby-purple colored, the 2021 Pinot Noir Occidental Station Vineyard needs a lot of swirling to coax out delicate notes of cranberries, fresh red currants, and wild strawberries, followed by nuances of violets, underbrush, and moss, plus a fragrant hint of wild thyme. The medium-bodied palate vibrates with energetic red berry and mineral layers, framed by firm yet super fine-grained tannins and wonderful tension, finishing very long and perfumed. Beautiful! Alcohol 13.3%. Drink: 2027-2045. (1/15/24)"

97 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2021 Pinot Noir Occidental Station is a total knockout. Wild, deep and exotic to the core, the 2021 is immediately captivating. Soaring aromatics meld into dark red/purplish fruit, orange peel, spice, menthol, cedar and blood orange. A wine of striking depth and mind-blowing beauty, the 2021 is, quite simply, magnificent. The Occidental Station is the one Pinot in this range that does not come from the Occidental property, but rather a site under long term lease. It is endowed with tremendous immediacy, therefore offering a bit more fruit exuberance and succulence than the Pinots from the Occidental Estate. Drink: 2026-2036. (Jan 2024)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "This is super sleek in feel, with beautiful hibiscus, damson plum and black cherry puree notes that race through, flanked with a mouthwatering rooibos tea note and backed by a long minerally echo on the finish. A very pure, precise wine. Drink now through 2033. 505 cases made. (2/28/24)"
