93 points Monica Larner (Wine Advocate): "The Arianna Occhipinti 2020 Frappato Vino di Contrada FL has a more delicate style with wild rose and floral aromas that rise delicately from the glass. On the back of those, you get earthy tones, baked eggplant skin and light hints of toasted fennel seed. The wine is tart and fresh to the palate, with macerated aromas as well. This is a bit more wild of the three contrada wines in the series. Fruit comes from the Contrada Fossa di Lupo, with reddish and dark brown soils. Drink: 2023-2030. (Jun 2023)"

92 points James Button (Decanter): "Arriana's ‘FL’ contrada series Frappato stands for Fossa di Lupo, her original six-hectare sand-over-limestone vineyard of 40-year-old vines at 280m above sea level. Vinified in cement tanks using indigenous yeasts, the wine then matures for 22 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. A darker, richer expression compared to PT, it displays earthy red and black cherry aromas with a bright, stony palate of intensely sapid wild red fruits. It has a distinct spiciness and tanginess which feels like it derives from the yeasts, leading to a dry finish yet with juicy cherry and strawberry notes. Drinking Window: 2023-2028. (5/12/23)"

Frappato “FL” comes from sapling vines of the ancient Fossa di Lupo district, in front of the Iblei Mountains. The olfactory stamp is graceful and refined, mainly reminiscent of red fruit, Mediterranean spices, roses and sea. The taste is very fine, delicate and pleasant, with an elegant freshnes Alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeast in cement tanks with contact with the skins. Aged some months in large, old oak barrels.
