As I mentioned in my original barrel review, there is something reminiscent of a Graves. Very well balanced with a structured, fresh and lightly spiced finish that lingers. Excellent. A dark and smoky nose, rich in toasty and seasoned barrel spice notes, with a little cherry note behind, opens the show. There then comes a quite elegant start to the palate, concentrated but nicely framed and precise, with a controlled texture and substance, broad and a little open, but well supported by the polished, svelte and silky tannins. Very nicely done. This will need five-to-ten years to show its best. (Jan 2021)"
