90-92 points/'Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Chambolle village offers vividly delicate and deep fruit – weighty and expressive for a Mugnier village. The expression of terroir is quite cool and distinct, with a fine layer of Chambolle minerality – a very sensual wine with its silky texture. This is hedonistic in best sense of the word. Drink from 2029. (11/13/19)"
91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Revisited in bottle, Mugnier's 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village bursts with aromas of raspberries, cherries, warm spices, rose petals and heather. Medium to full-bodied, bright and charming, with a fleshy core of fruit and rich structuring tannins, it's not quite as exquisitely refined as its 2019 counterpart, but it has turned out very well. Drink: 2023-2050. (Jan 2021)"
91 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Rich crimson colour, an immediate sense of power. Concentrated ripe fruit, all red, the power of the vintage lurking below the surface, broad-shouldered rather than classically Chambolle, but with just the right tannins and acidity. Very slight green at the back, lots of character to discover later. (Nov 2020)"
90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Chambolle AC from Domaine Mugnier had been racked a couple of weeks prior to my visit, but was showing very nicely in mid-November. The wine offers up a pretty, ripe and sappy nose of red and black cherries, chocolate, gamebird, chalky soil tones. just a hint of new oak and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with just a bit of backend tannin and a long, tangy and nicely plush and complex finish. Good juice. 2026-2050. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
