97 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Sumptuous Chambolle Premier Cru Les Fuées, full of suavity of texture and finesse of tannins, a taut, subtle and refined wine, impressive in the context of the vintage. (2023)"

93-95 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Mugnier's 2020 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Fuées unfurls to reveal aromas of rich red berry fruit mingled with peonies, orange oil and warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and perfumed, its ample core of fruit is framed by supple, melting tannins and lively acids. Concluding with a long, saline finish, like its communal counterpart, this is an elegant, vibrant wine despite the extremes of the vintage. (Jan 2022)"

93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A fuller more vibrant purple, with a darker fruit, plums and dark raspberries, still balanced and cheerfully uncooked. More structure is evident, but balanced by an equally greater volume of fruit. Deeply concentrated at the back of the palate, black and red together. An impressive complexity and length. (Nov 2022)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 1er Cru has a brisk black cherry, raspberry and oyster shell-scented bouquet that is very well delineated. The palate is very well balanced with firm tannins, layers of pure mineral-driven red fruit, quite stern and "serious" on the finish with a sappy aftertaste that you don't want to end. Wonderful. Drink: 2025-2048. (Nov 2018)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Decidedly Chambolle on the nose and palate, this is a fine example of the reason people fall in love with the elegant wines of this village. Smelling of cherry pits and savory spice with a hint of fresh chanterelles, this is aromatically distinctive. The palate shows a hint of extract surrounding its sweet fruit core that is lifted by zinging acidity. Mugnier has a single parcel of Les Fuées, right in the heart of the Premier Cru, that was planted in 1960. 2024-32. (2017)"

94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50+ year old vines). An even spicier and more intricately layered nose reflects notes of plum, violet and lilac along with a hint of dark chocolate. The sleek and succulent medium weight flavors possess slightly better mid-palate density while flexing a taut muscularity on the moderately powerful and more mineral-driven finale that exhibits excellent length. This superb effort is bigger than it usually is and though it could use better depth, more will almost certainly develop if given a chance. In a word, terrific. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2023)"

92-94 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuées 2020 has a light-footed yet intense stance. It has a hedonistic feel of casual enjoyment, and is elegant, with fine balance. While not extremely complex, it nevertheless seems to push all the right hedonistic buttons. Hedonism such as during La Belle Époque, when enjoyment and careless indulgence were still allowed. The floral notes are jumping from the glass like spring flowers on a Paris morning. Drink from 2037. (1/28/22)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 les Fuées from Monsieur Mugnier is another excellent bottle in the making. The wine is nicely structured out of the blocks, with well-measured tannins and bright acids that will combine to make it very long-lived. The nose wafts from the glass in a still primary blend of sweet dark berries, black plums, raw cocoa, a gentle touch of mustard seed, a fine base of soil, cedar and just a touch of upper register violets that should become more prominent as the wine evolves in cask. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and bright, with good mid-palate depth, bouncy acids, fine-grained tannins and lovely balance and grip on the long, promising and vibrant finish. Fine juice in the making. 2032-2075. (May/Jun 2020)"
