Mugnier has a single parcel of Les Fuées, right in the heart of the Premier Cru, that was planted in 1960. 2024-32. (2017)"

Hedonism such as during La Belle Époque, when enjoyment and careless indulgence were still allowed. The floral notes are jumping from the glass like spring flowers on a Paris morning. The wine is nicely structured out of the blocks, with well-measured tannins and bright acids that will combine to make it very long-lived. The nose wafts from the glass in a still primary blend of sweet dark berries, black plums, raw cocoa, a gentle touch of mustard seed, a fine base of soil, cedar and just a touch of upper register violets that should become more prominent as the wine evolves in cask. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, focused and bright, with good mid-palate depth, bouncy acids, fine-grained tannins and lovely balance and grip on the long, promising and vibrant finish.
