The wine is lovely and really shows both the elegant and sappy side of the year, as the nose wafts from the glass in a perfumed blend of black cherries, red plums, chalky minerality, pigeon, a nice touch of mustard seed, violets and cedary oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and quite sophisticated in its structural chassis, with a lovely core, excellent transparency, refined tannins and a long, tangy and very energetic finish.
