99 points James Suckling: "This is really incredible with orange peel, dried pineapple and flan. Exotic. Full body, round and savory. Crazy character at the finish of cooked pineapple and tart tartine. Gorgeous; can't believe it. (10/17/19)"
98+ points Simon Field, MW (The World of Fine Wine): "The P3 Brut from 1990 was celebrated by the entire room, a most worthy declamation of the man and his philosophy. If P1 is harmony and P2 rehearses the fruit/freshness interplay over time, then P3 is all about texture and complexity. Richard uses the French word épure to sum up what he hopes to achieve; all elements seamlessly and profoundly integrated, a streamlined, very classic structure. A Michelangelo bronze; Rodin, maybe; a Dürer sketch, its genius worn lightly and, for that, all the more impressive--complex, above all, but wearing it with quiet dignity. Such is classicism, I suppose. The wine is terrific, its Riesling/terpene character a beautiful surprise, its palate endlessly rich, creamy, and long, tertiary notes held in check by a personality that Richard praises as 'pristine, pure, and vibrant,' still with time to go. A great statement from a great vintage. (Issue 63; 2019)"
98 points Wine Advocate: "Medium lemon-straw colour. Intensely fragrant nose with aromas of jasmine, cinnamon buttered toast, stewed apples and preserved ginger. Concentrated honey-nut, warm apple tart and spice flavours fill the mouth giving ample flesh to the firm, fine structure. The bubbles are still remarkably frisky and, in harmony with the crisp backbone of acid, make for a relatively youthful, elegant and exquisitely balanced wine. Very long finish. Drink now to 2015. (Mar 2009)" - Lisa Perrotti-Brown
