91-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "An intensely floral nose evidences an herbal character on the red berry fruit and earth suffused nose. There is excellent richness but also good verve to the big-bodied and muscular flavors that retain a fine sense of detail on the clean, intense and austere finish that displays fine depth and length. A classic Clos de Vougeot. Drink: 2024+. (Jan 2014)"
90-92 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Good full red. Reduced, slightly funky aromas of red berries, boysenberry, salted meat and leather. Fat, broad and supple, conveying a high-pH mouthfeel and good early appeal. This actually has a pH of 3.68, the highest of this range, which is generally between 3.4 and 3.5. A big, slightly oily wine that will probably be best over the next six or seven years. (Jan/Feb 2014)"
