95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Weber was grateful to have one Grand Cru spared – this one. There are two parcels, one toward the top and the other toward the bottom. Both sit near the southern wall. There is good, black fruit sucrosity interwoven with earth and worn flannel intrigue. There are some grippy tannins from new oak and the 60-70% whole clusters used. (2023)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Their plot is protected by the wall, so a respectable crop. A brighter fresher colour. Bright red fruit with fair depth, much fresher at the finish, some pleasing crunchiness with the tannins nicely integrated. The crunch comes from the 100% whole bunch. Drink from 2028-2034. (Nov 2022)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from a single plot in the higher sector close to the wall that offered some protection from the frost. Composed and focused on the nose, this unfurls in the glass with quite mineral-rich dark berry fruit mixed with peony and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. Harmonious and quite poised, not a powerful Clos de Vougeot yet full of energy and tension. This is beautifully crafted. Drink: 2025-2045. (Jan 2023)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Offering up aromas of dark berries, cassis, burning embers, spices and licorice, the 2021 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is medium to full-bodied, rich, layered and textural, with powdery tannins and an unusually muscular, broad-shouldered profile for the vintage. (Jan 2023)"
