93 points and 'Best Buy,' Robert Parker: "The non-vintage Dry Amontillado Los Arcos Solera Reserva reveals a medium amber hue along with a nutty, honeyed, dry personality with great acid. (Aug 2012)"

91 points Wine Spectator: "Walnut, date, cinnamon and dried blood orange notes are backed by a long finish that lets a singed balsa wood hint hang on. This has an echo of sweetness but remains rather dry in feel. Drink now. (8/31/14)"

4 stars, Highly Recommended, Decanter: "Pure old-Fino nose; rich, intense fruitcake with lots of spice. Incisive and evolved palate with delicate citrus and honey highlights and a nice finish. Complex mid-palate. Drink: From 2010. (Jan 2011)"

***/Recommended, F. Paul Pacult (Spirit Journal): "Bronze/burnished orange color; unblemished purity. Initial inhalations encounter deep aromas of leather-bound books, butterscotch, and prunes; more time in the glass deepens the leathery aspect and adds a pleasing note of walnut. Entry is lean, clean, tart, and astringent; midpalate features the acidic dried fruit element that dominates the taste profile. Ends cleansing, very tart, and austere. (Dec 2009)"

Producer notes: "A textbook Amontillado of great maturity. Naturally dry and soft, its palate gives a hint of wood and smoky raisins. A powerful and distinctive nutty bouquet. A better Amontillado would be difficult to find. Awarded Silver Medal at IWC 2005. Drink as a warming apéritif. Serve slightly chilled. Alcohol: 18.5% by volume. Grape Variety: Palomino Fino."
