92 points and 'Very highly recommended,' California Grapevine: "[$54 list] Medium-light to medium ruby; attractive, deep, intense, fragrant, cherry and raspberry fruit aroma with hints of baking spices and forest floor; medium-full body; forward, deep, rich, fleshy, red fruit flavors with bright acidity and a velvety mouthfeel; medium tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very appealing to taste now, though deserving several more years of bottle aging. 14.3% alcohol; 200 cases; released November 2017. (Jan 2018)"

91 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Wine Advocate): "Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard opens with fragrant kirsch, raspberry pie and rose hip tea notes with underlying black pepper and mossy bark hints. Medium-bodied, firmly textured and with lovely freshness, it offers delicate red berry and savory layers with an herbal lift to the finish. Drink: 2017-2022. (Sep 2017)"

91 points Jeb Dunnuck: "[$54 list] The 2016 Pinot Noir Garys' Vineyard was also completely destemmed and brought up in 15% new French oak. It's slightly deeper in color than the Rosella’s Vineyard and offers vibrant notes of black cherries, plums, spice and that classic minerality and earthiness that's always present in wines from this vineyard. Medium-bodied, balanced and lively on the palate, with good acidity, it's another rock-solid Pinot Noir to drink over the coming 4-5 years. (10/31/17)"
