95 points James Suckling: "Aromas of dried apples, wax, blanched nuts, and lemon curd follow through to a medium to full body with serious density and zesty fruit. Lovely waxy finish. Very tangy and pointed at the end. Classic white Rioja. Aged for about four years in barrel and a few years in bottle. Drink now or hold. (10/9/23)"

94 points Tim Atkin, MW: "(12.5%). Gravonia is 'only' a Crianza, but such things are irrelevant at López de Heredia. Produced with 100% Viura, it's the "only mono-varietal wine in the bodega", according to Mercedes López de Heredia. Mature, waxy, nutty and layered, it's still very much alive, with a finish of dried honey and citrus peel. 2023-32. (2023)"

94 points Wine & Spirits (Oct 2023).

93 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "2015 was considered a very good vintage, because it was warm, dry and healthy, and the 2015 Viña Gravonia Blanco has a little more alcohol at 13%—only half a degree makes a big difference, and the wine is not as lively as other cooler vintages. For María José López de Heredia, the wine is too alcoholic; the vintage had perfect ripeness and the grapes were super healthy, but the wine lacks the citrus freshness and the vibrancy Gravonia should have. 27,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2021. The wine matured for four years in well-seasoned American oak barrels. Drink: 2022-2028. (7/14/22)"

92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2015 Rioja “Viña Gravonia” from López de Heredia is made entirely from Viura, with the wine and was aged for fully four years in older, two hundred and twenty-five liter, American oak casks prior to bottling. This vintage comes in at 12.5 percent octane and delivers a beautifully bright and complex bouquet of fresh coconut, pear, salty soil tones, tangerine peel, almond, beeswax and a gentle framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, crisp and complex, with lovely depth at the core, good soil signature, a lovely spine of acidity and lovely balance on the long, focused and very classy finish. The 2015 Viña Gravonia is drinking splendidly today, but it is still in climbing mode with many decades of life laid out in front of it. Fine juice. 2024-2055+. (Jan/Feb 2024)"
