For María José López de Heredia, the wine is too alcoholic; the vintage had perfect ripeness and the grapes were super healthy, but the wine lacks the citrus freshness and the vibrancy Gravonia should have. 27,000 bottles produced. This vintage comes in at 12.5 percent octane and delivers a beautifully bright and complex bouquet of fresh coconut, pear, salty soil tones, tangerine peel, almond, beeswax and a gentle framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, crisp and complex, with lovely depth at the core, good soil signature, a lovely spine of acidity and lovely balance on the long, focused and very classy finish. The 2015 Viña Gravonia is drinking splendidly today, but it is still in climbing mode with many decades of life laid out in front of it. Fine juice. 2024-2055+. (Jan/Feb 2024)"
