91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The lieu à dit of les Seuvrées also lies on the opposite side of the RN74 from the slope of premier and grand cru vineyards, but it is very well-situated on the Morey border, and much of its border across the road is with Mazoyrès-Chambertin. The 2017 from Laurent Lignier is another outstanding village wine, offering up a pure and complex bouquet of red and black cherries, mustard seed, complex soil tones, gamebird, a bit of cocoa, refined soil elements and a gentle framing of cedary wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and sappy at the core, with lovely purity on the attack, plenty of soil signature, suave tannins and a long, tangy and complex finish. Another truly exceptional Gevrey AC. 2024-2055. (Nov/Dec 2018)"
91 points Jasper Morris, MW: "From 50 to 75 year old vines with a high proportion of millerand grapes, 20% whole bunch, made by a selection of what looks best. Denser red purple. Oatmeal and blood notes, a super second half in the mouth, positive drive and some elegance, inviting a further taste. (Mar 2019)"
89-92 points Fine Wine Review: "Medium-light, spicy, good definition to red fruits, broad but light; good, fine acidity. 25% whole clusters. (12/11/18)"
