94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This half-hectare of vines is underneath the Premier Cru Les Sentiers on the border with Morey-St-Denis. The average vine age is 50 years, although many vines are much older, with 30% of the fruit fermented as whole clusters and ageing taking place in 20% new wood. The result has remarkable purity of fruit and a typical Chambolle perfume, with a violet-scented raspberry and cassis fruit profile, lively freshness, and impressive depth of flavour. Drinking Window: 2024-2039. (10/24/20)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Bussières 1er Cru comes from 0.50-hectares of 50-year-old vines and includes 30% whole bunches and is aged in 20% new oak. It has a well defined bouquet with brambly red fruit, sage and light sous-bois aromas. The palate is classic in style, fresh with chalky tannins, zippy acidity and a surprisingly strict finish that might be just going through a prenatal dumb phase. Afford it 3-5 years in bottle at least, because the long saline finish augurs a bright future. Drink: 2024-2042. (Dec 2020)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From 55 to 60 year old vines on average across the four plots. A little more depth of colour and with characteristic elegance. Then a huge burst of dense raspberry on the second half of the palate, with a fine-grained tannin at the back. Long and balanced. (Nov 2020)"

89-92 points/'Outstanding/Top Value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .50 ha holding). A brooding and slightly riper nose reluctantly offers up notes of various red and dark berries, earth and wood toast. The medium weight flavors are at once denser but finer with very good vibrancy that carries over to the slightly more austere and more structured finale that displays impressive persistence for a villages level wine. This too is very good and also worth checking out. Drink: 2027+. (Jan 2021)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Domaine and so organic. The limit of the appellation, touching the vines of Roumier in Clos des Bussières in Morey. 30-70-year-old vines here – half a hectare.) Darker fruit, a little extra silky and clarity to the aromas – not overtly perfumed though. A little more structure, more depth of flavour too – more serious for keeping longer than the vv. But great flavour dimension – this will be really excellent. (1/18/21)"
