95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "Part of Thibault Liger-Belair's range since 2005, this combines fruit from clay and mostly limestone soils. It's a very sweet, intense, Chambolle-Musigny-meets-Corton style that shows the influence of its Côte de Nuits-based winemaker. Deftly oaked, it's a fine, textured grand cru with filigree tannins and alluring fruit sweetness. (Drink between 2024-2030. (Nov 2018)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Corton-Renardes Grand Cru includes 40% whole bunches with around two-thirds new oak. It has a lively bouquet of blackberry, briar, hints of cassis and an almost pastille-like purity. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded but quite firm tannin that lends this Corton-Renardes good backbone. This really fills the mouth, and I find a little more precision here compared to the Charmes-Chambertin tasted directly before, along with impressive mineralité. A 2017 for Burgundy purists. Drink: 2022-2045. (Jan 2019)"

91-94 points Jasper Morris, MW: "40% whole bunch vinification. Deepish red colour, less purple, the nose is quite funky too, though not bacterial. Quite a complex wine in its way, strawberry red with a light green note too, but it builds into a hearty mouthful behind. Tighter at the finish, while retaining savoury notes. (Nov 2018)"
