93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru, made in a bespoke 520-liter used barrel from Chassin, has a very subtle reduction on the nose, but I feel there is more complexity and mineralité than the Genevrières. The palate is beautifully balanced, again, with a very clever reduction, plenty of depth and tension with a persistent, lightly spiced finish that has almost a flinty edge. Superb. Drink: 2024-2038. (Jan 2023)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Still in barrel. 1 x 520 litre which was crafted for last year’s Bâtard. More lemon than lime in the colour, with a notably generous bouquet, much greater fruit weight than the Genevrières, in that respect more a 2020, yet with a good core of acidity as well. The oak works very well with this. Drink from 2026-2032. (Oct 2022)"

93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This is a reasonably new parcel for Benjamin Leroux (since 2018), and the results in 2021 were encouraging. There are reductive smoky notes up front and lots of citrus and nectarine fruit aromas with an edge of white flowers and mineral. The texture is supple and round, nicely substantial and quite approachable. Leroux relates that there was little mildew in this site, the fruit was picked very clean and fermented in cask to produce this delicious wine with a pleasantly savoury finish. Drinking Window: 2023-2035. (Jun 2022)"
