Then it calms down and becomes flintier. A little youthful bitterness here as the white fruit otherwise takes over. Much more Blagny than Meursault. Fine crunchy finish. (May 2022)"

92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Meursault 1er Cru Sous le Dos d'Ane unwinds in the glass with aromas of white currants, flowers, fresh mint and bread dough, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and seamless palate with a textural attack that segues into a taut, racy mid-palate and a precise, chalky finish. From a parcel that borders Pierre Morey's Meursault Perrières, this cuvée really seems to have found its identity in the last few years. Drink: 2025-2045. (1/31/23)"

More interesting are the succulent and impressively dense middle weight flavors that possess a lovely sense of underlying tension that carries over to the lingering if mildly tangy finish that isn't quite as harmonious.
