96 points Wine Enthusiast: "While still young, this Champagne has all the makings of greatness. Produced from grand cru vineyards, it already balances ripe white fruits with a firm structure that will age well. It's relatively dry and has plenty of acidity, which will also aid in the longevity. Drink from 2022. (Dec 2019)"

95 points Tom Hewson (TimAtkin.com): "(from magnum). 55% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir. The 2008 has been on the market for a while now, making current bottles rather good value. L-P tend to 'declare' fewer than most houses; just 29 out of the last 45 widely-declared vintages have been made. The succulence and freshness of youth is still here, as are the delicious touches of sea shell and bright reductive smokiness, but the fruit is starting to go on that journey of roasting and candying that is so inviting. Apple purée and apricot kernel richness and a lovely mineral length, this has all the finesse of 2008 but none of the hardness. (Dec 2022)"

95 points James Suckling: "This is a solid and very dense Champagne with a phenolic and rich texture. Layers of cooked apples and light lemon rind. Brioche and light pie-crust in the aftertaste. Fresh and relatively dry aftertaste. (9/2/19)"

93-95 points Essi Avellan, MW: "Amazing purity of Chardonnay dominates this precise, extremely vivacious wine of notable nervosity of freshness. Lot of green apple, pear and apricot notes alongside emerging reductive toasty charm. Truly classy and built to last. (11/20) 4/2022: Keeping youthful. Really restrained in style, keeping back and deserving more time. Very fine aromatic purity and crisply fruity length. (Apr 2022)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "A finely knit Champagne, defined by well-cut acidity that frames notes of Asian pear, white cherry, slivered almond and fleur de sel. The mousse shows a lovely creamy viscosity. Hints of citrus and spice emerge on the finish. Drink now through 2028. 1,000 cases imported. (12/15/19)"

93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2008 Brut Millésimé opens in the glass with lovely aromas of lemon oil, green apple, warm biscuits, iodine and mandarin. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and seamless, with an elegantly layered core, a fine, pinpoint mousse and racy balancing acids, concluding with a long and incipiently biscuity finish. This is a classy vintage Champagne that will develop beautiful complexity in the cellar. (Apr 2019)"

93 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2008 Brut Millésimé is a gorgeous wine that expresses all of the pedigree of the vintage beautifully. Complex and nuanced, with tons of class, the 2008 has so much to offer. Dried pear, mint, chamomile, crushed rock, dried flowers and pastry overtones are all laced together in this finely-knit, resonant Champagne. Laurent-Perrier’s Brut Millésimé is one the best widely available vintage Champagne readers find from this historic harvest. Drink: 2019-2030. (Jul 2019)"

93 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The polished LP style really works in high-acid years such as this (1996 was a previous favourite). The nose is rather perfumed and full of lifted fruit, and the mid-palate rather plush. Pithy grapefruit aromas create poise, with notes of vanilla and a superb dusting of autolytic toastiness through mid-palate to finish. Surprisingly full and complex, and quite enjoyable now, but further complexity and development are to be expected. A tiny bit of sweetness of unintegrated dosage on the finish. I’d cellar for a further 2-3 years. (12/22/19)"
