Lively, mineral-accented red fruit, floral and spice qualities on the highly perfumed nose, along with hints of game, licorice and baking spices. Offers juicy raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors and a building suggestion of candied lavender. Closes very long and spicy, with an emphatic red fruit note and lingering florality. I marginally prefer the sulfured bottling today, but those who like a bit of funkiness in their Beaujolais – and there are plenty of them – might prefer this one. Drink: 2022-2030."
