93 points La Revue du Vin de France: "With its splendid bitterness, Clos de la Chatenière 2020 is a powerful wine from the moment it hits the palate. It draws on a fruitiness reminiscent of yellow grapefruit, with a density of substance that settles in from the middle of the palate. Its intense saltiness sculpts it in depth. (2024)"

92 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(worked entirely by hand as the vineyard has a 40% south-facing slope which ensures that it receives plenty of sun). There is just enough reduction to suppress the underlying fruit for the moment with the exception of a whisper of lemon zest. By contrast there is really lovely intensity to the precise, cool and restrained mineral-inflected middleweight flavors that terminate in a racy, clean and emphatically dry finale that displays only a trace of youthful austerity. This chiseled effort is excellent and akin to rolling tiny rocks around the mouth. Drink: 2028+. (Jun 2023)"
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(South-facing and warm here. 60-year-old vines always with small grapes.) Rounder, yellow citrus, a little oaky reduction. Broad – a different intensity – really juicy, a subtle cushion and here more yellow citrus – this a ‘southern’ St.Aubin… Yes! Super length too! Simply excellent wine. (12/23/22)"
