93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A little more colour than expected and perhaps the bouquet is more evolved too. This is not at all the case on the palate which has wonderful grip, with fresh white fruit before a long limestone finish. (Jun 2022)"
92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2012 Clos de la Chatenière is another excellent wine, with a superb signature of soil tied to the pure and strikingly beautiful fruit tones of this vintage. The excellent bouquet delivers a blend of apple, pear, a touch of iodine, chalky minerality, gentle notes of orange zest in the upper register, spring flowers and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and again, strikingly mineral in its backend, with zesty acids, excellent focus and grip and a very long, elegant and energetic finish. This will want a few years of bottle age to fully blossom and should age very well indeed. 2016-2035+. (Nov/Dec 2013)"
92 points and 'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(worked entirely by hand as the vineyard has a 40% slope which ensures that it receives plenty of sun). Here the reduction is more marked and it's sufficiently strong that I would advise decanting this in your going to try a bottle in its youth. This is notably more refined with excellent delineation to the intensely mineral-driven middle weight flavors that conclude in a linear and impeccably well-balanced finish. This is sneaky long and I very much like the way the backend fans out plus this should amply reward extended cellaring. This is highly recommended. Drink: 2019. (Jun 2014)"
