94 points Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Primeras Viñas Malbec Luján de Cuyo displays a bright and dark ruby color and a very classical and balanced profile, reflecting a cooler year. The wine shows a bit tight and reticent, but there's phenomenal balance and perfectly integrated oak from a soft vinification and slow aging of 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels. It's varietal, elegant and with the depth and clout of the old vines (from 1906 and 1930). 18,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2020. Drink: 2021-2030. (Mar 2021)"
92 points James Suckling: "I like the blue fruit with blackberry and black cherry, as well as crushed stone. Medium to full body with fine, linear tannins and a long, intense finish. Bright and vivid. Pretty firmness. Drink or hold. (4/8/21)"
