92 points Mark Squires (Wine Advocate): "The impeccably well-balanced 1995 Lafon Rochet held its own with this course. I've always liked this and I believe it is underrated. Yes, it is a somewhat understated wine - meaning that you can actually drink it without overwhelming a carefully prepared meal that has a subtle medley of flavors - but it kept getting better throughout the evening. (It was double decanted for about 2 hours.) There's no bombast here. Medium-bodied, sunny and elegant in the mid-palate, this spotlights its silky texture and the focused flavors of gracefully maturing Bordeaux. This debonair wine is still on the upswing. It can become even more complex with some more cellaring, but it is drinking well now. The tannins are ripe and unobtrusive with the decanting. (May 2015)"
