93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Rich purple, with very little nose, just a sense of intensity. Destemmed by hand. I have to say that this is sensational on the palate, a total explosion of lush fruit which does not lose the essential structural core of fine Pommard. I fear there is only a barrel or two made, but it is wonderful this year. (Nov 2019)"

93-95 points Fine Wine Review: "The Pézerolles has reduction nutshell aromas. The mouth is creamy with dark fruits, elegance, and length. It is Lafarge’s smallest holding, at 14 ares, and thus a rare wine. (2/10/20)"

93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Pézerolles from Domaine Lafarge is a very elegant and transparent young Pommard in the making. The nose wafts from the glass in a very pure blend of red plums, cherries, quince, gamebird, a gorgeous base of soil tones, a touch of oak and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and ripely tannic, with a superb core of fruit, ripe, buried tannins and impeccable balance and grip on the long, focused and nascently complex finish. This will take some time to come around (it is a Pommard premier cru after all!), but it will be a stellar wine once it has blossomed. 2032-2070. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

91-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from fruit that was destemmed manually). A more elegant and cooler if not more complex nose timidly offers up its aromas of pure essence of red pinot fruit that is trimmed in wisps of violet, anise and plum. The sleek, refined and lilting middle weight flavors also possess a wonderful texture and a lovely minerality before concluding in a youthfully austere finale. This sophisticated effort is impeccably well-balanced and should age accordingly. Drink: 2030+. (Apr 2020)"

91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Pommard 1er Cru Les Pezerolles amounts to fully three barrels this year—the largest crop since 1999. Whether it's the higher crop or the fact that the grapes were destemmed by hand, the wine is especially elegant this year, bursting with scents of rose petals, red berries, violets and sweet soil tones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fine-boned and succulent palate, displaying only delicate grip on the penetrating finish. (Jan 2020)"
