90 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge from Domaine Michel Lafarge is a classic example of this bottling (which is one of the finest in the Côte d’Or in my experience). The wine offers up a lovely blend of red and black cherries, gamebird, dark soil tones, coffee and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is medium-full, tangy and transparent, with a fine core of pure fruit, lovely soil signature and a long, gently tannic and light on its feet, bouncy finish. This will age very nicely, but will come forward and start to drink a couple of years quicker than is customary with this bottling chez Lafarge. 2021-2040. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
