The Kiralyudvar 6 Puttonyos Aszú sweet wine is crafted in the Tokaj region of Northeastern Hungary. Berries affected by botrytis are picked manually one by one. The aszú berries are then crushed and macerate with the must of ripe, non-botrytis grapes. The wine ages in 500-liter Hungarian oak barrels for 3+ years before release. The estate’s classic Aszú wine shows tremendous richness. Balance is maintained by knife-edged acidity. Fully enjoyable today with pastries and creamy cheeses, aszú will age nobly over decades with proper cellaring.
