100 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "The effortlessness with which this dry riesling masterpiece marries the finest stone fruit aromas with gigantic concentration must be experienced to be believed. It is hard to put the purity and precision into words that adequately convey the experience. And none of this wants to stop. Instead the wine keeps extending out towards infinity. Drink or hold. (8/16/23)"

98 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 27 23. The 2022 Abts E®, as it is referred to on the front label, is a bone-dry wine made from a selection of small-berried fruit picked in the Abtserde (hence the “Abts E®” play on word), which is a prime sector of the Westhofener Brunnenhäuschen vineyard. The nose is straightforwardly captivating in its freshness and finesse, with pure notes of limestone, herbal tea, jasmine, white peach, white flowers, anise, may tree, orange blossom, cassis, fresh almond, and iodine. The wine is refined and pure on the palate, and combines intensity with airiness and refinement. The finish is incredibly precise, with lots of fine spices, a very chalky edge, and above all vibrancy. The intensity and finesse of this stunning dry Riesling are simply breathtaking. 2032-2052. (Sep 2023)"

97 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2022 Riesling Westhofener Brunnenhäuschen Abtserde Grosses Gewächs has half red-tinged limestone and half pale limestone. It is the spot with the most active limestone in the soil, so the vines really struggle to reach nutrients, which also expresses itself in millerandaged bunches with lots of tiny, concentrated berries. The site benefits from constant ventilation. The nose is a tease of crushed citrus leaf with a slight backdrop of reduction. The palate is more rounded than the nose suggests, imbuing its essentially zesty nature with riper notions of peach skin, tart, red-cheeked green apple and greengage. The finest zestiness pervades all. The 2022 is highly aromatic, tense, toned, elegant and absolutely zesty. It's astonishing to have such coolness in 2022. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2025-2050. (Sep 2023)"

96 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Abts E Riesling GG is currently probably the most impressive Riesling in the Keller family. As always, the Abtserde is extremely pure, dense and chalky, with fine spiciness reminiscent of great Chablis, but then it shows almost explosive fruit of ripe, concentrated pineapple with citrus freshness. Full-bodied and dense, but also pure, enormously chalky and salty, this is a fine, mineral and long-lasting Riesling from a single vineyard in the Westhofener Brunnenhäuschen. It's a great Riesling with very fine tannins and stimulating salinity and full of tension. Drink: 2025-2045. (Dec 2023)"
