Juicy and intense on the palate yet fine and elegant, with delicate salinity and fine tannin structure as well as good length, this is one of Keller's finest Hubackers of the last 20 years, but it still needs some time to develop. 94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 26 23. The 2022 Oberer Hubacker Monopol, as it is referred to on the front label, is a bone-dry wine made only from the upper and steeper part of the vineyard. The nose is expressive, finely aromatic, and appealing, with superb notes of orange blossom, candied citrus, tobacco, herbal tea, yellow peach, licorice, white pepper, and blackberry. The wine is superbly juicy and herbal, and offers a rather broad, opulent, and finely creamy structure, but is superbly complex. The finish is tauter and full of spices, and proves superbly long. This is a slightly more aromatic yet superbly appealing expression of dry Riesling. 2029-2042. (Sep 2023)"
