**** John Livingstone-Learmonth (The Cradle of The Rhône): "1) (tank, bottling Aug 2021) ***(*) shiny yellow robe; has an enclosed, grilled aroma, cooked lemon, floral airs with lees notes for now. The palate centres on a flavour of mixed white fruits, compote in style, has floral touches early on, develops tannin firmness, is insistent towards the finish, rather manly, digs in, persists. The aftertaste is brisk, some tang there. 2) (top of the tank, less lees, clearer) **** cooked pear, mineral, airborne airs, butter-floral notes. The palate streams well, has good length, evident freshness. All 500-litre amphore vinified and raised. “The first vintage when we’ve had a good yield off Vernon”, J-P Jamet. 14.2°. 60% Châtillon, 40% Vernon. 2028-29 June 2021."
