91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The inherent elegance of the 2014 vintage is very much in evidence in the domaine’s old vine bottling from Gevrey, as the wine offers up a lovely constellation of black cherries, sweet dark berries, grilled meats, bitter chocolate, just a touch of new wood and a fine base of Gevrey’s black minerality. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a fine, sappy core of fruit, ripe tannins and a very long, tangy and soil-driven finish. High class juice. 2021-2050. (Mar/Apr 2016)"
90 points and 'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 50 to 60+ year old vines). There is a distinct floral character to the earthy and overtly sauvage nose that consists mostly of various red berry fruit scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is good richness and slightly better mid-palate density to the delicious and sappy medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a youthfully austere but well-balanced finale. This excellent effort should also drink well young if desired. Drink: 2022+. (Jan 2017)"
