94 points Robert Parker (4/23/06).
90-93 points Stephen Tanzer (International Wine Cellar): "Full yellow-gold. Pineapple, orange and spicy oak on the nose. Juicy, bright and penetrating, with a sweet peach nectar flavor nicely shaped by an edge of acidity. Not an especially big wine but comes across as quite sweet for this chateau, and wonderfully tactile. Strongest today on the finish, which is firm-edged and very persistent, with some obvious oak showing. (Jul/Aug 2005)"
92 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "Tasted at twenty years of age, this has a classic Guiraud nose, packed to the rafters with smoky dried oranges, vanilla, praline and crème caramel. It has obvious intensity and despite having twenty years under its belt it feels rather youthful. While the nose is typical of the estate, the palate speaks more clearly of the vintage, with a voluptuous and velvety texture supporting a core of caramelised and toasted fruit richness. Underneath there is a powdery grip, giving it a dry and pithy frame. Despite its rather soft acid profile it has a real sense of energy and vigour and I am sure this will develop for a few more years yet;the long finish certainly reinforces this conclusion. Drink now and over next few years. (Apr 2023)"
