Not yet reviewed; 2021 vintage rated 94 points by both La Revue du Vin de France and William Kelley (Wine Advocate), who wrote: "The 2021 Viré-Clessé Retour à la Terre was picked on October 7, without any rot despite this site's humid clay soils. Offering up aromas of orange zest, pear, sweet spices and petals, it's medium to full-bodied, pure and seamless, with a bright, crystalline profile and a long, saline finish. As is often the case, the old vines here have produced a wine that's slightly lower in alcohol (12.7% natural) than the regular bottling. Drink: 2023-2040."
