96 points James Suckling: "Swathed in spicy and toasty oak aromas, this has a wealth of superbly expressed red and dark berries, flowers and mint. The palate delivers a very assertive and energetic array of dark berries and spiced plums with a fresh, focused, vibrant finish. Superb wine. Try from 2023. (2/1/18)"

95 points Jane Anson (Inside Bordeaux): "(74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc). Traces of butterscotch-smoked sweetness that shows the warm conditions of the year. Garnet and ruby in colour, there is an attractive sense of uplift, and the terroir impact is clearer than it was En Primeur, as always happens with the best estates after a few years in bottle. The classic Pauillac character is starting to assert itself, with crushed mint, cedar, slate, smoked earth and cardamon alongside blueberry, bilberry and cassis fruits. After half an hour in the glass it deepens in complexity, revealing the most gorgeous floral aromatics. 75% new oak. Drink: 2025-2040. Alcohol 13.5%. (9/29/21)"

95 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2015 Grand Puy Lacoste is just as compelling from bottle as it was from barrel. Sensual, polished and refined, the 2015 is all class. Silky tannins, perfumed aromatics and beautifully delineated fruit are some of the signatures. The natural richness of the year comes through nicely, but without overpowering the wine's mid-weight sense of structure. This is a fabulous example of the year. Drink: 2022-2040. (Feb 2018)"

95 points (17.5/20) La Revue du Vin de France: "...2015 and 2014 are also very successful, mixing intensity and superb structure... (2018)"

95 points Peter Moser (Falstaff Guide): "Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening. Somewhat shy bouquet, delicate notes of cassis and mint, fresh heart cherries, a hint of orange zest. Medium complexity, juicy and sweet, charming texture, ripe, supporting tannins in the background, lingers very well, a delicate companion at the table. (3/14/19)"

95 points Tim Atkin, MW

94 points Jane Anson (Decanter): "I love this from the first nose. It’s not quite as complex as the 2017 at Grand-Puy-Lacoste, never mind the 2016, but this is still an exceptionally good Pauillac in the vintage. There’s black fruits, firm tannins, excellent graphite and slate notes and touches of liquorice with clear depth and length. Very good quality, and carefully extracted, it goes gently into the night. 75% new oak. Drinking Window: 2025-2040. (Nov 2018)"

94 points Chris Kissack (Winedoctor): "A firm favourite with the trade, in 2015 this wine has a very composed, fresh and cleanly defined aromatic profile, with a lovely purity of fruit at its core. The palate continues this reassuring start, showing a gentle textural confidence, a fine polish and sweet harmony, the fruit here framed by some finely grained tannins and peppered with a little edge of toasted nut from the oak. This is still very primary, as it should be, but there is some real charm in this wine which would appear to be fulfilling the potential seen at the primeurs. (May 2018)"

92-94 points Michel Schuster (The World of Fine Wine): "(74% CS, 23% M, 3% CF; 33 hl/ha, 62% harvest). Dense and ripe in fruit to smell, markedly 'gravelly' and very persistent; full, fresh, finely firm, concentrated, a fine constitution; rich, elegant, vitally defined, firmish in its tannins (but not 2010) long, even, close-grained and complex, and with terrific persistence to finish; a particularly classy, refined, mineral-drenched GPL, classic, fine, very satisfying Pauillac. 2025-40. (Issue 52; 2016)"

93 points Wine Enthusiast: "The wine from this estate, owned by one of the great Bordeaux families, is already balanced between fruit and tannins. Black currants from the Cabernet Sauvignon comes through strongly, giving a juicy character to the wine's structure. It is rich and will mature well. Drink from 2025. Alcohol 13%. (Feb 2018)"

93 points The Wine Independent: "Medium to deep garnet in color, the 2015 Grand-Puy-Lacoste sashays out with showy notions of baked black cherries, fruitcake, and dried mulberries, plus a waft of redcurrant jelly, Indian spices, and incense. The medium-bodied palate is lively and plush, with tons of expressive black and red berry preserves flavors and a wonderfully spicy finish. Alcohol 13.5%. Drink: 2024-2039. (9/21/22)"
