98 points Richard Mayson (Decanter): "With 40 years ageing in small lodge pipes (casks of around 600 litres), 50% of the original volume has been lost to evaporation: the age is evident in the copper-toned greenish tinge and the sweeter more concentrated style. Demerara sugar and spice with glorious length and richness, yet it still retains some youthful clarity on the finish. This fine-tuned blend of old wines going back to the 1970s is one to sip, admire, meditate and marvel. Drinking Window: 2021-2024. (Nov 2021)"

96 points James Suckling: "Fantastic old tawny with a tight and lively palate of dried fruit, figs, bark and walnuts. Custard and some salted nuts, too. It’s full, sweet and glorious. Lovely candied fruit at the end. Drink now. (9/28/20)"

96 points Wine Spectator: "A warm, lush style, with brown bread, fig compote, ginger marmalade and date flavors coating the palate before streaks of bitter orange and almond kick in, imparting cut and enlivening the finish. A note of incense weaves around it all, adding intrigue. Drink now. 320 cases imported. (5/2/18)"

95 points Charles Metcalfe (The World of Fine Wine): "Dark, sweet, caramel and dried-fruit flavors. Fresh and balanced, with impressive length. (Issue 62; 2018)"

94 points Wine Enthusiast: "An old, mature wine, but one that has kept its ripeness and richness. The concentration is so intense that one glass is almost enough (except it tastes so good). There are walnuts, bitter chocolate and a delicious clean aftertaste. (Aug 2006)"
