94 points Tyson Stelzer (The Champagne Guide): "(2011 base vintage with 2010 and 2009 reserves; 40% chardonnay, predominantly from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Villers-Marmery and Trépail; 40% pinot, predominantly from Ay, Bouzy and Ambonnay; 20% meunier, predominantly from Cummières, Damery and Tauxiéres; no malolactic fermentation; 8g/L dosage; more than 40% of production). Grande Réserve is the key focus of Gosset, progressively growing in volume to overtake Brut Excellence, and the first priority for fruit allocation before vintage cuvées. It represents a blend of 50 villages, all vinified separately, with reserves built both from single years and from the full blend of the previous year, in what Mareigner likened to 'a partial solera system'. Grande Réserve is perpetually among the most reliable NVs on the shelves, and retains its full majesty even in the 2011 vintage. Mareigner cleverly bolstered reserves to a remarkable two-thirds of the blend, including close to 40% of 2010, the balance from 2009. The result is a more secondary take on the Grande Réserve style, filled with spice, toast and honey. The classic malic acid drive of the house defines and impressive finish of enduring focus. (2018-2019)"

93 points Decanter: "The nose opens with the fresh ripeness of yellow apple and highlights of Granny Smith. It has beautifully subtle autolysis on the palate, deepening into notes of creamy apple crumble, Golden Delicious and Mirabelle plum, while remaining utterly strait-laced. Elegance, length and absolute freshness are inherent and quietly convincing. Drinking Window: 2019-2028. (2019)"

93 points Wine Spectator: "This offers ripe plum and nectarine fruit, with mouthwatering acidity in abundance, as well as accents of anise, tea rose and orange peel. Bright and finely knit, featuring a satiny mousse and good focus through to the chalk-laced finish. Drink now through 2024. (8/21/19)"

93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): " (43% chardonnay, 42% pinot noir, 15% meunier). This too is quite aromatically discreet with its Meyer lemon, brioche, green apple and yeasty nose. There is excellent intensity to the wonderfully fine flavors that combine power with finesse, all wrapped in a crisp, very dry and notably more complex finale. This is terrific and a wine that could be enjoyed now or held for further development. Drink: now+. (Oct 2020)"

92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The current release of Gosset 'Grande Réserve' is drinking beautifully out of the blocks and offers plenty of potential for evolution in the cellar as well. The bouquet is bright and expressive, delivering scents of apple, white peach, a fine base of minerality, fresh-baked bread and a touch of caraway seed in the upper register. On the palate the wine is crisp, full-bodied, complex and nicely balanced, with bright acids, refined mousse and lovely length and grip on the complex and vibrant finish. This bottle was drunk in a restaurant in Reims in March, so I do not have the technical details on this release. But, it is very tasty. 2018-2040. (Jul/Aug 2018)"

92 points James Suckling: "This is very fresh and has attractively flavorful, punchy fruit presence, in a very pure mode. Strawberries and grapefruit and some pastry and spiced-biscuit to close. Drink now. (9/2/19)"
