95 points Wine Spectator: "[$260 list] Round and supple, with firm tannins underneath, this red evokes cherry, wild strawberry, tobacco, leather and underbrush flavors. Harmonious in a taut, dense way, offering a long, savory finish. Becomes racier with air, showing fine energy and drive. Best from 2017 through 2032. 200 cases imported. (11/27/13)"

95 points James Suckling: "The purity of fruit to this is truly outstanding with dried strawberries, spices and flowers. Dried roses. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a beautiful fruit and tannin balance. This is a joy to taste now but will reward those who are patient. Super elegant. Wait until 2016 and see. (6/7/13)"

95 points Wine Advocate: "The 2009 Barolo Le Rocche del Falletto comes from a south-facing parcel with steep slopes for well-draining soils. The vines are approximately 35 years old. There-s a touch of extra ripeness here, even a hint of strawberry, backed by rich berry fruit, cassis and blackberry. The wine shows its most elegant side in the mouth, where the firming, polished tannins give the wine backbone and grace. It-s deliciously silky and extra fine with microscopic precision. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2036. (Jun 2013)" -Monica Larner
95 points/'2013 Top 100 Wines (#75),' International Wine Report: "The 2009 ‘Le Rocche del Falletto’ Barolo from Bruno Giacosa is a wine of pure elegance. It brings a wonderful, pure expression of Nebbiolo fruit with aromas of candied strawberries, wild cherries, rose petals, sweet herbs and licorice notes. This is well structured around fine, silky tannins that end with incredible length. Patience will be required here, as this will need time to develop further, but this has remarkable potential to age and a wine I would love to revisit in the future. Best 2018-2027. (Jun 2013)"
