92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2017 Pinot Nero Case Via is pliant and expressive. Sweet red berry, blood orange, flowers and earthy tones flesh out in the glass. As always, the Fontodi Pinot is first and foremost a wine of Chianti Classico, especially in its acid profile and overall structural feel. The 2017 is a bit wild, but otherwise nicely done. Drink: 2022-2032. (Sep 2020)"
92 points James Suckling: "A pretty pinot with dried-strawberry and raspberry character and hints of smoked wood and meat. Medium to full body and firm, lightly chewy tannins. From organically grown grapes. Needs time to soften. Better after 2021. (8/3/20)"
