97 points La Revue du Vin de France: "From a vineyard where a tongue of marl outcrops, Valmur 2021 is almost monastic in its straightforwardness. Although iodine is never far away, the sensation of rock dominates with fine bitters. (2024)"

95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Hailing from the summit of the Valmur valley, these vines unusually have east, southeast and west exposures. There is also a vein of marl that stretches across this section that gives this Valmur noticeably more weight. It showcases the finessed and elegant side of Valmur, but with a heft more typical of Preuses. There is plentiful ripe pear fruit here and a dry, saline finish. (2023)"

93-95 points/'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a 1.1 ha parcel of vines that is close to Vaudésir and extends all the way from Grenouilles to the tree line at the top of the hill). This could be from nowhere else but Chablis with its nose of crushed algae, iodine, green fruit and shellfish. There is outstanding density to the broad-shouldered and muscular flavors that stain the palate while the abundant dry extract buffers the firm acid spine shaping the superbly long and highly complex finale. This is also extremely promising. Drink: 2031+. (Oct 2022)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru comes from 1.1-hectares located on a vein of marn. As usual, it is a little austere and "mean" on the nose, but I like that, and it "grows" in the glass with engaging marine/oyster shell scents. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh, quite linear and strict yet building in density through to the finish. Excellent. Drink: 2025-2043. (Sep 2022)"

92-95 points Jasper Morris MW (Inside Burgundy): "Grown on a vein of kimmeridgian marl on the crest with Vaudésir. Not racked yet. Pale lemon yellow without the lime. Quite a weight of fruit here, lots to discover in the future but not quite ready now. Significant weight here, white fruit intensity, all stacked to the back, freshly baked apples, a little bit of spice and proper length. Very good. Drink from 2027-2034. (Jun 2022)"

94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Deep and concentrated, the 2021 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur reveals notes of orange zest, peach, wet stones, blanched almonds and white flowers. Full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's a taut, chiseled structuring young wine that will reward bottle age. Drink: 2027-2050. (9/7/23)"

92 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "There is always lots of freshness from this 1.15ha site, high up in Valmur, close to the forest. The soils here are a deeper clay-limestone than many others in the grand cru. Fevre's Valmur shows plenty of sweetness to go with the rich palate feel. There are no harsh edges here and this is surprisingly approachable already. Good volume in the mouth, with ripe stone fruit notes which are not at all cloying. Will gain complexity with age. Drinking Window: 2026-2031. (Oct 2022)
